Introduction
About the Framework
The NatPaCT PCT Competency Framework is a self-assessment and support tool to help PCTs deliver.
The Framework can be used online, electronically on your own PC, and on paper. It is available in different formats to meet different needs.
The Framework is built around several Competency Domains. Each Domain has a number of key Competencies. For each Competency there are Competency Statements. For each Statement, there are associated Examples of Evidence.
Through these web pages you can browse the Framework, drill down into specific areas, and obtain downloads or print outs in different formats.
Using the Framework
- To navigate through the hierarchy of the Framework (down to Competency level), click on Framework map in the yellow toolbar near the top of the page. Alternatively, if your browser shows a red strip at the left edge of the screen, move your mouse to that edge and you will see a popup window with a clickable map of the Framework.
- What's new will show you the changes that have been made to the Framework.
- Clicking on Print & download will enable you to get an electronic copy of all or part of the Framework in various formats.
- There is a Glossary containing some of the terms used within the Framework.
- You can Search within the Framework (you can also still use the site-wide search at the top of the page to include all available material, not just the Framework.
- Finally, there is a Feedback link so that you can email us with suggestions or comments about the Framework.
